What do we mean by life purpose?
I want you to hold this universal truth: You are primarily a spiritual being who has taken a physical form to fulfil a life purpose. When clients come to me and we discuss purpose, they often respond with, ‘That’s the problem. I don’t know what I want to do.’
Well, the good news is most people experience confusion or lack of clarity at some stage or stages of their lives and we have to excavate it gently. Let me help you be and connect. We all have the golden thread of purpose woven through our DNA, a purpose that we came into this world to do. It is something we can do uniquely, in a way that no other can match. When we are aligned with our purposes, we have the potential to light up from the inside and light up everyone else who is in our presence. It is effortless and natural. We all know this state and witness it daily in children. Often enough, the case is that children are usually closer to God and have suffered less confusion and contamination from the outside world. They are still enthused by life, curious and open.
Deepak Chopra, in his work The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, refers to life purpose as our ‘dharma’. He claims that connection to life purpose is a necessary component to success. Purpose in life says we have come into this world, not only with a unique gift, but with the purpose of sharing this talent with others. For every unique talent there is a need for that talent. Otherwise, we never would have been created in the first place. This is the process of supply and demand. We are here to supply. But we have forgotten to trust the demand and need for our gifts and unique talents in the world.
How do you know and how do you discover your true self?
I have some great exercises to support you with this or affirm what you already know. Only when we come into alignment with this purpose can we access the unlimited abundance, natural rhythm, and ebb and flow that we witness in nature. We then experience the ease and effortlessness of pure potentiality, prosperity, lasting inner peace, joy and fulfilment. Thus, we join the harmonious dance of life with grace and dignity.
